Event Details

The Health Research Board, the National Dementia Office, and the Department of Health together held a joint “Dementia Research Knowledge Exchange Event” in the Department of Health in Dublin on the 30th April 2019. This event was organised with the aim of linking dementia researchers and evidence users, showcasing examples of applied dementia research, and discussing the evidence gaps and future of dementia research in Ireland.

Dr Suzanne Timmons, the Project Principal Investigator, presented results from the Project, with a focus on their implications for policy and practice (see image 1). Other members of the Project team were also in attendance and networked with colleagues including those from other Universities, the HSE, the Alzheimer’s Society, and the Irish Dementia Working Group (see image 2).
